Key Roles: Grade Five Teacher

For my 28th teaching year, I am happy to be continuing in a grade 5 classroom (for my fourth round). My previous teaching years have included mainly junior high, but I have steadily decreased in grades, hoping to never reach the kindergarten years before I retire!

I have dabbled with various coaching roles, chess/checkers club, and many drama performances, but my fondest memories lie with the leadership club that I developed for 6 years while teaching grade 8 at RVS.

When I am not in school, I can be found playing pickleball, biking, snowshoeing, painting, quilting, walking my dog, or marshaling at the kart racing track in Strathmore, where my son and husband race go karts. I could also lie and say that I love gardening, but my family and friends know that even though I try my best, my thumbs aren’t very green at all!
