Hello, my name is Miss McElhinney and I am very excited to teach Grade 7 at River Valley this year.
I grew up in Sundre and love this community and all it has to offer from the beautiful rivers to the rolling hills. I like to explore every corner of it. I have recently graduated from the University of Lethbridge where I was a part of the University of Lethbridge varsity curling team, the agricultural club and was a part of the Canadian Ski Patrol. I had the opportunity to do my last practicum and teach grade 4 in the 2023 school year at RVS. I am ecstatic to be back in Sundre!
In the summer, you can find me going on overnight horseback riding trips, fishing, biking, kayaking and enjoying my hammock. In the winter you can find me shredding the slopes on my skis, indoor rock climbing, playing badminton and curling.
