November Summary

Even though November was a short month due to our Fall Break, we sure packed a lot in!  Here are the highlights...

-magazine sales in support of a variety of activities for our students

-magic E man stopped by our grade 1 classrooms --> check out some of the pictures here

-Remembrance Day assembly --> photo album here

-volleyball wind up for both boys and girls team (was a game against the teachers...tons of fun!) --> another photo album here

-report cards went home

-parent teacher interviews

-annual book fair -- we appreciate the support and love that this means our students are getting new books!

-CCB (complimentary courses started) for grades 7 and 8

-basketball practices for both boys and girls teams started

-Olds Grizzlies hockey team stopped by and gave students tickets to a home game

-PJ Day for United Way -- $515 was raised!  United Way is funding our Nutrition for Learning Snack program for the next 3 years and this was our way of saying thanks

-kicked off our "Ready, Set, Give a Goat" project to collect coins to purchase goats for families overseas (deadline for donations is Dec. 8th)

-Grade 6-8 Academic Awards -- so great to celebrate our students' accomplishments!

-Spelling Bee -- and our top 3 spellers were from grades 4, 5 and 6

-Terry Leslie stopped by our grade 6 classrooms to talk about local government

And now we move into the last month of 2016!  Plans are underway for a variety of events to help celebrate the holiday season...all while continuing to focus on helping our students improve as learners.
